Fiona Clutterbuck's Extensive Financial Services Background Underpins OSB Appointment
Clutterbuck brings a substantial record of board-level leadership across banking, insurance and wealth management. She currently serves as Chair of AJ Bell plc and has previously held non-executive positions at Paragon Banking Group plc, where she was Chair from 2018 to 2022, M&G plc, where she served as Senior Independent Director and then Interim Chair from October 2020 to May 2023, and also at Hargreaves Lansdown plc, Sampo plc and the Co-operative Bank. The board has confirmed she satisfies the independence requirements of the UK Corporate Governance Code, following a rigorous selection process supported by external advisers.
Clutterbuck Joins Three OSB Group Boards Covering OneSavings Bank and Charter Court
Upon joining on 9 November 2026, Clutterbuck will sit on the boards of OSB Group plc, OneSavings Bank plc and Charter Court Financial Services Limited. She will also become a member of the Group Nomination and Governance Committee and the Group Remuneration and People Committee. OSB Group operates two reporting segments — OneSavings Bank, which targets specialist areas including Buy-to-Let, commercial mortgages, development finance and asset finance, and Charter Court Financial Services, which focuses on specialist residential and bridging lending through its Precise brand.
David Weymouth to Step Down After Nearly a Decade Leading the OSB Board
Weymouth joined the board of OneSavings Bank plc as Chair in September 2017 and, following the formation of OSB Group as the listed holding entity in November 2020, resumed the role of group Chair in February 2020. The announcement states he will step down as Chair and as a Director of OSB Group, OneSavings Bank plc and Charter Court Financial Services Limited when Clutterbuck formally succeeds him at the preliminary results presentation. Hoskin, the Senior Independent Director, credited Weymouth with outstanding leadership and contribution to the group since 2017.
Regulatory Approval Remains a Condition Before Clutterbuck Assumes the Chairmanship
Although Clutterbuck's board membership takes effect from 9 November 2026, her formal assumption of the Chair role remains conditional on receipt of necessary regulatory approvals, given that OSB Group is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by both the PRA and the Financial Conduct Authority. Investors may be watching for confirmation of those approvals and the subsequent announcement of the preliminary results presentation date, which will mark the formal transition of leadership at one of the FTSE 250's specialist lending groups.
