Games Workshop Group PLC (LSE:GAW), the creator and global licensor of the iconic Warhammer franchise, is  projecting a profit before tax of no less than £255 million for the 52-week period ending 1 June 2025.

In a trading update ahead of its annual results, the FTSE 100-listed company said it expects core revenue to climb to at least £560 million, up from £494.7 million in the previous year. The surge reflects demand for its tabletop gaming products, which remain at the heart of its global community of enthusiasts.

Licensing revenue is also set to reach a record £50 million, a significant increase on prior years. However, Games Workshop has cautioned that this figure is unlikely to be matched in the next financial period, suggesting a one-off boost from specific deals concluded during the year. Even so, licensing continues to provide a meaningful contribution to the bottom line, with forecasted operating profit from this segment at around £45 million.

The company, known for its disciplined management and shareholder-friendly policies, reaffirmed its commitment to rewarding stakeholders. A total of £171.4 million in dividends—equivalent to 520 pence per share—has been paid out during the year. Staff will also benefit directly from the company's success, with £20 million allocated through Games Workshop’s profit-sharing scheme.

Core operating profit is projected at £210 million, highlighting the performance of the company’s primary business segments, including product design, manufacturing, and direct-to-consumer sales through its retail stores and online platform.

The announcement continues Games Workshop’s impressive run of form, which saw it promoted to the FTSE 100 index just before Christmas 2024.

Games Workshop said it will release its full annual report on 29 July 2025.
