DX, (LSE:DX) UK-based logistics provider covering parcels, freight, documents, fulfilment, and final mile services, has completed the acquisition of HBC Logistics Ltd, a logistics and same-day services business headquartered in Bedfordshire. H.I.G. Capital, DX’s parent company with USD 70bn in assets under management, oversees the group. The acquisition follows Ian Truesdale’s appointment as CEO on 1 July 2025 and represents a step in DX’s ongoing growth strategy.

HBC Logistics Operations
Founded in 2017, HBC Logistics provides rapid and scheduled logistics solutions, including warehousing, fulfilment, palletised freight, same-day courier services, and international shipping. Its main facility spans 62,000 sq ft at Stratton Business Park in Biggleswade, with additional support centres in Hertfordshire, Cambridge, and London. HBC operates across the South East, West Midlands, and East Midlands using a mixed fleet from small vans to articulated HGVs. The company holds Platinum ratings with the United Pallet Network and Palletforce and maintains partnerships with global carriers. HBC has also collaborated with Carbon Neutral Britain to enhance its sustainability measures.

Regional Coverage and Network Integration
The acquisition adds to DX’s regional service coverage and complements its existing fulfilment and same-day propositions. HBC’s operational footprint in key UK regions supports the group’s logistics network, allowing DX to integrate scheduled, rapid, and international shipping solutions within its existing infrastructure.

Future Development
The move reflects DX’s approach to growth through targeted acquisitions and strategic investments. HBC’s facilities and operational capabilities provide additional scale and regional presence to DX, aligning with the company’s broader plans to develop services and maintain its logistics operations across the UK.
