- Global listing structure harmonised across New York, London and Stockholm under the AZN ticker.
- Prior US ADS listing on Nasdaq concluded ahead of the NYSE trading transition.
AstraZeneca plc (LSE:AZN) has begun trading its ordinary shares on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) from 2 February 2026, marking a change in the company’s global listing arrangements. With this move, AstraZeneca’s ordinary shares are now traded across the NYSE, the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and Nasdaq Stockholm (STO) under a harmonised global listing structure.
The company stated that the commencement of NYSE trading enables broader participation from US-based investors, while maintaining its existing listings in the UK and Sweden. AstraZeneca’s shares continue to trade under the ticker symbol “AZN” on all three exchanges.
Under the revised structure, AstraZeneca’s prior listing of American Depositary Shares (ADS) on Nasdaq ceased on 30 January 2026. The company also confirmed that its UK and Swedish listings remain unchanged, with AstraZeneca continuing to be included in the FTSE 100 Index and the OMX Stockholm 30 Index.
NYSE Trading and Listing Alignment
The NYSE listing aligns the trading of AstraZeneca’s ordinary shares across its three principal markets. According to the company, the harmonised structure reflects shareholder approval for the revised listing framework and is intended to streamline access to the company’s equity across regions.
In addition to equity trading, AstraZeneca noted that its US dollar-denominated bonds, previously listed on Nasdaq, will now trade on the NYSE following the start of ordinary share trading.
Growth Outlook and Pipeline Context
In its update, AstraZeneca referenced recent pipeline developments, noting that the previous year included multiple clinical readouts with an aggregated peak revenue opportunity of more than USD 10 billion. The company stated that this momentum is expected to continue into 2026.
AstraZeneca reiterated its longer-term objectives, including its ambition to reach annual revenue of USD 80 billion by 2030 and to launch 20 new medicines by that time. The update also noted ongoing investment in technologies intended to support the company’s portfolio beyond 2030.
The NYSE trading commencement represents a structural change to AstraZeneca’s market presence, while its operational footprint and existing European listings remain in place.
