OptiBiotix Health plc (LSE:OPTI), a life sciences business developing products to reduce hunger, support gut microbiome health, and provide sugar alternatives, has received its first order from a well-known European weight management company. The low six-figure order includes private label SlimBiome® finished products—gummies, bars, and drinks—as well as a WellBiome® product. These products are planned for delivery and launch in Europe in the first half of 2026.
The order follows an agreement announced by the Company on 20 August 2025. It aligns with OptiBiotix’s strategy of supplying finished products to customers through private label arrangements or ecommerce channels.
Interest in Appetite-Reducing Ingredients
The order highlights the rising demand among traditional weight management brands and emerging companies for ingredients backed by human studies showing appetite reduction similar to anti-obesity drugs. This trend is part of the fast-growing “natural alternative to GLP-1” market. According to Market Intelo, this market was valued at USD 1.2 bn in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 4.8 bn by 2033, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 16.7%.

Existing International Partnerships
OptiBiotix has previously collaborated with several well-known brands internationally, supporting the SlimBiome® product range:
- Hydroxycut (USA): Marketed as the No.1 weight loss supplement brand in the United States, available online and at major retailers including Walmart.
- LightLife (India): Launched online by Dr Morepen in December 2024, now expanding into retail channels across India.
- Holland & Barrett (UK): SlimBiome included in the SlimExpert range, with anticipated repositioning in 2026 to reflect market evolution.
- Sports Brands: SlimBiome marketed as LeanBiome in brands such as Muscletech and Myprotein.
European Launch Timeline
The newly received order is planned for delivery and launch in the first half of 2026 under the distributor’s own brand. The products include a mix of finished items from the SlimBiome® and WellBiome® ranges. This initiative marks the first step in OptiBiotix’s engagement with a major European weight management company and reflects ongoing demand for scientifically supported, appetite-reducing ingredients in the sector.
