Highlights

  • Pilot North 100%-owned tungsten-copper project located 15 km from Pilot Mountain, Nevada.
  • High-grade rock chip assays include copper up to 14.65%, silver 708 g/t, tungsten 0.59% WO3.
  • Project comprises five areas with historical mines and skarn mineralization in Luning Formation.

Guardian Metal Resources PLC (LSE:GMET) is a Nevada-based mineral exploration company focused on tungsten and copper. Its flagship Pilot Mountain project is among the largest undeveloped tungsten resources in the USA. The company also holds Tempiute, Pilot North, Stonewall, and Golconda Summit projects.

Project Overview

Guardian Metal Resources provided an update on its Pilot North tungsten-copper project in Nevada, USA. The 100%-owned project is approximately 15 km northwest of the Company’s Pilot Mountain project and was acquired through the staking of 102 new BLM lode claims in August 2025. Pilot North includes five distinct areas: Copper Head, Western Metals, Muller Mountain, Tungsten Valley, and Jasper, each containing skarn mineralization at granitic-limestone contacts similar to Pilot Mountain.

Assay Results

A total of 92 rock chip samples from the Pilot North project were analyzed at ALS USA Inc. laboratories. The assays returned high-grade results, including copper up to 14.65%, silver up to 708 g/t, and tungsten trioxide (WO3) up to 0.59%. Additional metals detected across the project included gold at 1.025 ppm, gallium 49 ppm, zinc 12%, and lead 3.81%, indicating the presence of significant mineralization across multiple areas.

Geological Context

The Pilot North project hosts skarn deposits formed at contacts of granitic intrusions with limestones of the Luning Formation, reflecting the same geological setting as Pilot Mountain. The historical mines in the area—Copper Head, Western Metals, Muller Mountain, Tungsten Valley, and Jasper—demonstrate extensive outcropping of tungsten and copper-bearing skarns.

Detailed geological mapping was completed to define mineralization and guide future exploration, which may include geophysical surveys and diamond drilling.

Project Ownership

Guardian Metal Resources holds a 100% interest in Pilot North, royalty-free, through its Nevada operating company, Golden Metal Resources LLC. The project shares road access with the Pilot Mountain site.

Management Comment

Oliver Friesen, CEO, stated:
"I am very pleased with the progress we have made on Pilot North since our initial staking just a few months ago. The combination of both the high tenor and consistency of the rock chip assay results-particularly in copper, silver, and tungsten-across much of the Project area is very encouraging and, in our view, underscores the potential importance of this developing opportunity for the Company.

"Importantly, this Project is 100% owned by Guardian Metal, royalty free. Conveniently, it is also 15 km away from Pilot Mountain and shares the same access road.

"We look forward to continuing to move this opportunity forward rapidly, alongside the important work that is currently ongoing at both Pilot Mountain and Tempiute."

Next Steps

The Company plans to undertake further geological mapping in the most prospective areas, which may be followed by geophysical surveys and diamond drilling. The exploration programme will continue to define the extent and quality of tungsten-copper-polymetallic skarns across Pilot North.
