In the financial year 2025 (FY25), the company’s group revenue rose by 3.7% YoY to GBP 5,571.00 million, due to new store openings and decent performance in B&M France. The group adjusted EBITDA increased by 0.6% YoY to GBP 620.00 million, compared to GBP 616.00 million in FY24. However, profit before tax fell by 13.5% YoY to GBP 431.00 million, primarily driven by increased finance costs, including higher interest charges on a recently issued bond.

Recent Business Update

BME raised its ordinary dividend to GBX 15.0 (from GBX 14.7) and paid a special dividend of GBX 15.0, resulting in total dividend payouts of GBP 300 million for the year, in line with its capital return policy in February 2025. The company has opened 70 gross new stores in FY25, including 45 in B&M UK, 14 in Heron Foods, and 11 in B&M France, contributing to revenue growth and offsetting negative like-for-like sales in the UK.

The company has called an Extraordinary General Meeting on 22 July 2025 to seek shareholder approval for relocating its corporate domicile from Luxembourg to Jersey, with the aim to simplify the company structure and enhance capital return flexibility.

Company Outlook

The company has planned a total of 45 gross B&M UK store openings for FY26, along with additional expansion in France through new store formats and improved logistics capacity.

The new Ellesmere Port import centre in the UK is expected to become operational in summer FY26, aimed at increasing volume handling and enabling better stock flow across the expanding store base, contributing to operational efficiency.
