ECO Animal Health Group PLC (LSE: EAH) is a UK-based, AIM-listed global animal health company focused on developing and marketing branded veterinary pharmaceuticals, including antibiotics and vaccines, for respiratory and enteric diseases in pigs and poultry.

In the financial year 2025 (FY25), EAH reported a revenue decline of 11.0% YoY to GBP 79.60 million, attributed to weaker performance in South and Southeast Asia (down 32%) and Latin America (down 18%) due to customer losses and distribution issues. Profit before tax increased by 33.3% YoY to GBP 4.00 million, supported by gains from the disposal of non-core assets, including the sale of Ecomectin® Horsepaste. Earnings per share rose by 60.6% YoY to 2.49 GBX, driven by higher pre-tax profits and improved gross margins despite the lower topline.

Business Update

ECO Animal Health Group PLC ended FY25 with GBP 25.0 million in net cash, up from GBP 22.4 million in FY24, supported by strong operating cash flow and efficient working capital management. Approximately 40% of the cash was held outside China, enhancing accessibility for global R&D and operations.

Company Outlook

ECO Animal Health Group PLC expects future revenue growth to be driven by its ECOVAXXIN® pipeline, with additional regulatory submissions planned in the EU and US. Ongoing R&D investment underpins the group’s strategy for innovation-led expansion.

In China, H2 FY25 revenue rose 3% year-on-year (constant currency), aided by swine disease control efforts. Following the year-end, the company initiated a share buyback program to support employee retention and enhance shareholder returns amid continued cash generation.
