The company has been able to make headway in the industry because of its five pillars - Hospital Performance, Quality, Workforce, Champion Sustainability and Expanding Proposition.

In the fiscal year 2023, the company remained on track to secure more than £15 million in cost savings. It is aiming another £15 million savings for 2023-24.

FY22 performance in review 

Spire Healthcare posted a year-on-year growth of about 8.3% in revenue during FY22. This was primarily because of the rise in private treatment during the year. Also, it achieved a favourable turnaround in FY22 with a positive profit after tax as compared to a negative PAT in FY21. On the profitability front, the Adjusted EBIT rose to £105.6 million, 30.2% higher than the previous corresponding period.

Furthermore, the adjusted free cash flow of the firm increased by approximately 133% during FY22.

For the fiscal year 2022, SPI has announced a final dividend of 0.50 pence per share.

Key developments

With the aim of enhancing the revenue streams for the company, SPI has inked new multi-year agreements with Vitality, Bupa, and Aviva. Also, the group has completed the acquisition of The Doctors Clinic Group for £12 million.

In the recent past, there has been an increase in the company’s investments in IT security, digitisation, and software as a service. The ultimate goal is to ensure top-line business growth following the growing demand for private and National Health Service (NHS).
