BWX Technologies (BWXT) said Robb A. LeMasters has stepped down from executive vice president and CFO roles, according to a May 12 press release. Mike T. Fitzgerald, BWXT’s current chief accounting officer, has been named interim CFO. LeMasters joined BWXT as a board member in 2015, when the company spun off its power generation business into Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises. He transitioned into senior vice president and chief strategy officer in 2020, became CFO in 2021 and executive vice president in 2024. “During Robb LeMasters’s tenure, BWXT has delivered impressive growth and significant returns to shareholders against a backdrop of financial discipline and strategic capital allocation,” said Rex Geveden, president and CEO of BWXT Technologies. “His strategic insights and dedication to the company made him a trusted personal advisor and key member of my leadership team.” LeMasters will continue to serve as a special adviser during the transition, Geveden said. Fitzgerald began his career with BWXT in 2022 as vice president of finance and chief accounting officer. He was previously an audit senior manager at financial advisory firm Deloitte & Touche, the release said. “Mike Fitzgerald has made an impressive impact on the company in a very short time, and I look forward to working with him in this expanded role,” Geveden said. “His depth of financial understanding and extensive corporate experience will ensure a smooth transition, and will support BWXT’s growth strategy and focus on operational excellence.” View Comments
