  • Management expects continued global demand as organisations revisit cloud and hybrid infrastructure strategies.

Cybersecurity specialist Corero Network Security (LSE:CNS) has announced a significant expansion of its partnership with Lightedge, a prominent provider of secure, compliant hybrid infrastructure. The new 5-year agreement, valued at $1.2 million, will see Corero's cutting-edge DDoS protection deployed more broadly across Lightedge’s expanding data centre network.

Under the agreement, Corero will replace a previous DDoS protection provider in part of Lightedge's infrastructure.

Combatting Evolving Cyber Threats

The announcement comes at a time of increased concern around sophisticated DDoS attacks, which are becoming more frequent and complex as enterprises scale hybrid IT environments. Corero’s high-performance protection platform offers real-time, automated defence that eliminates the need for manual intervention or downtime.

Corero’s technology is designed to support AI-ready security architectures, a growing trend as enterprises seek to modernize cyber defences with intelligent, self-adapting tools.

Strategic Significance

Commenting on the agreement, Corero said the deal reflects broader industry dynamics, as businesses increasingly shift workloads back to private and hybrid environments, reassessing cloud strategies in light of performance, security, and regulatory pressures.

“As organisations evolve their IT infrastructure, resilient and intelligent protection is no longer optional—it’s essential,” Corero noted.
