Seeing Machines (LSE:SEE), a vision-based monitoring technology company, has announced the formation of a dedicated Future Mobility Group as autonomous vehicle programs worldwide move from large-scale development toward commercial deployment. The new group has been created to address growing demand from the autonomous driving sector and to support new commercial opportunities as automated vehicle operations expand globally.

Autonomous Driving Enters Commercial Phase

Autonomous vehicle programs across global markets are transitioning from extended development stages into commercial deployment. This shift has introduced new requirements for production-ready safety systems designed to operate at scale. Human-centered monitoring technologies are increasingly being integrated into autonomous platforms to support safety, supervision, and operational continuity during this phase.

Seeing Machines has been working with autonomous driving companies worldwide to deploy its Guardian-based monitoring solution. These systems are currently installed in over 1,000 self-driving development vehicles, supporting a range of testing and operational environments.

Rising Demand for Embedded Safety Solutions

As autonomous vehicle programs move toward commercial use, demand has increased for deeper technical and commercial engagement between technology providers and vehicle operators. This includes the delivery of embedded monitoring solutions that can scale across fleets while meeting safety and operational requirements.

To address this shift, Seeing Machines has formed the Future Mobility Group, a dedicated internal team focused on supporting autonomous vehicle programs throughout development, deployment, and commercial scale-up. The group will work with global customers to integrate the company’s next-generation driver monitoring system (DMS) and occupant monitoring system (OMS) technologies into autonomy products and services.

Structured Engagement for Next-Generation Platforms

The Future Mobility Group is designed to provide a more structured engagement model aligned with the needs of next-generation mobility platforms. This approach is intended to support autonomous systems across multiple use cases, including robotaxi services, logistics and delivery fleets, and remotely supervised or tele-operated vehicles.

Seeing Machines stated that the group will align its technology roadmap and commercial activities with both existing and new customers, supporting the deployment of autonomous systems at scale. The initiative builds on experience gained from the Guardian Back-up Driver Monitoring System, which has been deployed across various transport and mobility applications.
