Computacenter PLC

Computacenter PLC (LSE: CCC) is an FTSE 250 index listed UK-based information technology infrastructure and operations services company which operates in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, North America and internationally.

Key Recommendation Rationale – Sell at GBX 3,548.00

  • Rising Cost Pressures and Efficiency Concerns - Operating expenses increased by 4% to $12.3bn, reflecting continued investment spending. While growth initiatives are important, the rise in costs keeps the cost-to-income ratio relatively high (59.1% underlying), indicating limited improvement in operational efficiency.
  • Weak Net Interest Income Growth - Net interest income grew by only 1% for the full year and declined slightly in Q4 on a constant currency basis. This suggests pressure on core lending margins and highlights reliance on non-interest income streams for overall revenue growth.
  • Increased Credit Impairments and Capital Sensitivity - Credit impairment charges rose to $676m, and Corporate & Investment Banking saw a notable increase due to the absence of prior-year releases. Additionally, the planned $1.5bn share buyback is expected to reduce the CET1 ratio by around 58 basis points, slightly weakening capital buffers.

Valuation Methodology: Price/ Earnings Approach

Conclusion

CCC is expected to trade at a discount, considering Weak Net Interest Income Growth and fears of global slowdown. For conducting the valuation, the following peers have been considered – Sage Group PLC (LSE: SGE), Softcat PLC (LSE: SCT) and others.

Given its current trading levels, Increased Credit Impairments and Capital Sensitivity, recent rally in the share price, and associated risks, it is prudent to exit the stock at the current levels. Hence, a ‘Sell’ recommendation is given on the stock at the Current Market Price of GBX 3,548.00 as of 22 April 2026 at 08:04 AM GMT+1.
