FTSE AIM 100 index listed Franchise Brands PLC (LSE: FRAN) has been focusing on establishing a market-leading business through a franchise model.

In the first half of the year 2023, FRAN completed the acquisition of Pirtek Europe and widened its reach across ten countries. Its top-line business witnessed approximately 56.9% year-on-year growth in the reporting period. It was mainly because of the record organic growth from the B2B Division. The company’s adjusted profit before tax grew by over 45% YoY to £8.6 million in H1 FY23. The net debt of the company has reduced to £76.0 million at the end of the September quarter, from £79.1 million at the end of June quarter.

FRAN registered about 11.1% YoY increase in interim dividend for 1H 2023. Also, it paid an interim dividend of 1.0 pence per share in October 2023.

In H1 FY23, the company appointed Mark Fryer and Rob Bellhouse as its new Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, respectively, in a bid to strengthen the senior management team.

For the full year FY23, the company is expecting its adjusted EBITDA to be around £29.3 million.

Top 10 Shareholders

Approximately 54.31% of the total shareholdings is held by its top ten shareholders. While Wray (Nigel William) owns the maximum number of shares of 11.83%, Hemsley (Stephen Glen) is the second biggest shareholder with around 11.74% shareholding.
