In the first half of the financial year 2025 (H1FY25), the company’s revenue increased by 16.8% YoY to GBP 545.58 million, driven by double-digit growth across all major segments, particularly hardware by 18.9% and services by 17.6%. Operating profit surged by 10.4% YoY to GBP 73.66 million, supported by a 12% rise in gross profit and seamless operational execution. Profit for the period grew by 12.4% YoY to GBP 57.38 million, compared to GBP 51.04 million in H1FY24.
Business Update
Softcat PLC has acquired Leeds-based data and AI consultancy Oakland Group Services Ltd for GBP 8 million in cash, plus potential earn-outs, adding GBP 10 million in 2024 revenue. Oakland will operate as a standalone unit with its leadership joining Softcat, and the deal does not affect financial guidance.
Company Outlook
Softcat expects to maintain double-digit gross profit growth in FY25, driven by sustained demand in cybersecurity, data infrastructure, and AI-enabled services. Internal digital upgrades, including the rollout of Microsoft Copilot and Dynamics, are projected to enhance productivity, analytics, and customer engagement.
With GBP 141.0 million in cash and no debt, Softcat remains financially equipped to pursue organic growth, strategic investments, or acquisitions aligned with its technology roadmap, as stated by the company
