FTSE All-Share Index (.FTAS) Market Round-Up

Last week the FTSE All-Share Index (.FTAS) settled on a negative note, following the bearish move from the US equity markets. Notably, FTAS settled at 4661.70 with a loss of ~0.56% for the week ending March 14, 2025. The recent move in the domestic indices is majorly led by the negative indications from the global equity markets.

From a technical perspective, the index displays a bullish bias, trading above a key ascending trendline and a strong horizontal support zone, indicating the potential for continued upward momentum. The 14-period RSI is at 58.39, remaining in the positive zone while holding its support level, signalling ongoing bullish sentiment. Additionally, the current market price (CMP) is above the 21-periods simple moving average (SMA) and the 50-period simple moving average (SMA), further reinforcing the support level and supporting a positive market outlook. These technical indicators suggest that the index is likely to maintain its upward trajectory in the near term, presenting a favourable outlook for potential gains ahead.
